Code of Conduct
Players
- The HBBA is your
association. Please remember that
many people have spent many hours so that you may have the opportunity to
participate in your favorite sports.
- Your coach is one of
the persons who are spending many hours of his or her time for you so try
to attend each scheduled practice session and arrive on time. If you cannot attend, call your coach
and let them know. Missed practices may cause you to lose game playing
time.
- Take care of your
uniform and any other equipment issued to you.
- When at the ballpark,
whether playing or watching, do your best to keep trash off the ground and
remember to please use the trash cans.
You are also responsible for picking up all trash in your dugout
after your game is over.
- During the game you
are there to play, not coach or officiate. Stay in the dugout unless you are supposed to be out. Yelling for your teammates is
encouragement. Jeering your
opponents is bad sportsmanship.
- Treat all players as
you would like to be treated.
- Remember that the
goals of the game are to have fun, improve your skills and to feel
good. Be a good sport by cheering
all good plays, whether it’s your teams’ or your opponents’.
